Paula Brown

Founder and CEO of Konenki

In 2018, the seeds of Konenki a menopause resource organization were planted during a time of personal upheaval for founder Paula Brown, who found herself struggling with symptoms that defied clear diagnosis. But Konenki’s story isn’t about one individual—it’s about a larger journey: the creation of a powerful network of providers who are redefining what it means to support women during menopause.

As she navigated years of confusion and misdiagnosis, Paula encountered firsthand the gaps in understanding and care that so many women face during midlife transitions. Yet, it wasn’t just frustration that emerged from this experience; it was a vision. She saw an opportunity to change the narrative around menopause by bringing together the very best professionals from a variety of fields to form a cohesive, supportive network—a group of champions for women’s health

Erica Tharp, RYT -500, Yoga Tune-up teacher, Pilates Instructor, Owner of Common Ground Yoga

Erica Tharp began her love affair with yoga in 2009 as a way to manage chronic migraines, back, and neck pain. What started as physical therapy soon became a life-changing practice that was both spiritually empowering and deeply restorative. After years leading corporate HR departments with a focus on wellness, Erica chose to reboot her own path, immersing herself in advanced yoga trainings and certifications. She felt a strong calling to share the tools that had transformed her life—connecting breath with movement, calming the mind, and learning to prioritize self-care.

Her journey also brought her face-to-face with the often-overlooked challenges of perimenopause. After countless doctor visits, “normal” test results, and dismissive advice to simply “eat right and exercise,” Erica realized how little real support women receive during this phase of life. That frustration became fuel for her mission: to design a retreat and programs that give women the information, tools, and empowerment they desperately need but rarely find in the medical system.

Through Common Ground Yoga, Erica continues to blend functional movement, mindfulness, and women’s health. She creates welcoming spaces where students can discover resilience, reconnect with themselves, and find new pathways to health, strength, and joy.
